After dominating the Great Bend Panthers at home with a win of 46-18 the Buffs traveled to Arvada West where they took 7th out of 24 teams with 110 points.
With only four days before competing in Liberal, the Buffs have a bit of time to recover from the Arvada West tournament this past Saturday.
After Liberal the team will have a quick turn around as the next day they head to the Hays Invitational for a two day meet.
The 2017-2018 wrestling team holds a dual record of 9-4 with a little over a month left in the season.
“We look great one weekend and not so great the next,” Head Coach Carlos Prieto said. “The last two meets we’ve looked a lot better.” Simply put, Prieto sees the season as a bit of a roller coaster.
“We will continue to work on the things we need to work on to get better and be ready for all our remaining meets.” Prieto said.
The Rocky Welton is the next upcoming tournament after the Hays invitational.
The Rocky Welton will be held on Jan. 27 and 28, here in Garden City.
