Gone Forever: Cassellius Enters WPP

Adam Cassellius: AP European and World History teacher, cross country coach, the most enthusiastic member of the Garden City High School staff. When Cassellius left GCHS abruptly at the end of the 2016-2017 school year, many of his students and athletes were left wondering why. Months later, new information surfaced and revealed that Cassellius entered the Witness Protection Program in May of 2017.

Band Students Suffer Budget Cuts

Every Friday night whether it’s the football team playing during the fall, the basketball team’s playing in the winter, or during all of the school assembly’s, all of these events have one thing in common. The band is always there performing, cheering and creating the best sound for our athletes, students and community to enjoy.

Swimming for funds

A new year brings a new fundraiser for the Buffalo swimming teams. Fans can keep track of the days with every month featuring a different member of the swim team on a custom calendar. The boys and girls will each have their own edition of the calendar. 

Bowlers Spare Second Place At State

After throwing their best the bowling team came up a little short of another state title. The Garden City High School girl’s bowling team took second at the state tournament, while the boys team sent two individuals.

Ending Hunger In GC

On Saturday, March 3, Garden City Student Council joined forces with the local United Way and GCCC Art Department to help raise money for the Kansas Food Bank, more specifically the Food4Kids project.
