Baseball Falls to TMP Monarchs

The boys baseball team traveled to Hays last Friday to take on TMP. They have not had the best season so far but they’re looking to turn it around. The conditions were not ideal but both teams fought it out. Garden City held leads in both games but had trouble limiting damage against TMP, falling 14-4 and 14-8 to the Monarchs. The games took nearly five and a half hours to complete thanks to a delay of about an hour when all the lights went out on the left side of the field in the sixth.

Buffs Shoot For Par

Boys golf is really getting into the swing of things, placing top three in both tournaments played last week. The buffalo golf team played on home turf Saturday, March 31st, at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course. The team placed second out of five other schools shooting 349, only 28 strokes behind Hays. The second tournament played was held at Auburn Hills Golf Course for the Bishop Carroll invitational. The golfers did very well placing third out of 14 other teams and shooting about the same as the Garden City invitational with a total of 338. The weather was definitely a factor for the golfers in both tournaments, ranging down into the 40s with lots of wind.
