With no hesitation the Lady Aqua Buffs dove right into the season with back to back meets on Thursday and Friday.
“The last meet went pretty well, it was in Wichita and we had a home meet the night before,” Megan Allen, sophomore, said. “I think we were all a little worn out but swam really well.”
The Lady Aqua Buffs took first at the home meet last Thursday, and seventh in Wichita.
“As a team we have done really well this year,” Emma Dirks, sophomore, said. “At the home meet we took first by over a hundred points, which was nice.”
Dirks starting the season off nicely with her relays placing and placing second in the 500 meter freestyle, at Thursday’s home meet.
“Everyone is doing good for where we are in the season,” Allen said. “I’m excited to see how this season finishes with the talent we have on the team.
Kirstin Neff, junior, is excited to see how the season goes this year.
