On the girls side of the hardcourt, 5-11 sophomore Keyhana Turner was tabbed to the first team all-WAC while senior Elyssa Salazar was chosen to the second team. The Lady Buffs finished the season as the 6A sub-state runner-up to Liberal with a 12-10 record. Other selections to the all-WAC girls team included Player of the Year Katie Horyna of Liberal, Machia Mullens of Liberal, Savannah Schneider of Hays and Kisa Unruh of Dodge City. Horyna and Mullens are juniors, Schneider a senior and Unruh and Turner sophomores. Liberal’s Carter Kruger was named Coach of the Year, guiding the Lady Redskins to a 22-0 season record before losing in the first round of the 6A state tournament.

Other second team selections were Brooke Denning of Hays (Jr.), Whitney Hay of Liberal (Sr.), Sydney Unruh of Great Bend (So.) and Chidera Okoro of Dodge City (Jr.).
